Unique educational workshops for children and adults at the Center of the Earth, in the metropolitan park “Antonis Tritsis”, for the whole week of the Festival. The experiential workshops are held in collaboration with the NGO, “Organization Earth”.
The aim of the activities is for participants to observe the natural environment and understand the importance of green spaces in urban neighbourhoods.
Workshops include: Farmers of small holdings; Soil under the microscope/Composting; Sustainable food; Food waste; “I am the seed”; Discovering the importance of biodiversity; Bee friendly; Water: “The precious commodity”; “From farm to plate”; The home vegetable garden; Farmers in the city; Sustainable biowaste management; Collective kitchen; Reducing household food waste; Household herb gardens.

A few words about Organisation Earth
“Organization Earth” is a Greek, non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2010 that aims to consolidate the concept of Sustainable Development, as defined by the 17 UN Global Goals, by providing experiential informal education for all ages. It advocates a new form of interaction between the economy, society and the environment, providing a living example of a sustainable way of thinking and operating for a sustainable planet. It designs and implements experiential informal educational programmes that focus on enhancing the sustainability of the agri-food sector, addressing climate change and reinforcing children’s environmental awareness.
